It’s Dare’s first major update – the previous updates were all fairly minor – and includes a whole bundle of goodies. The biggest of those new features however is a brand new game mode called Double Jump. If you enjoyed the challenge of the game’s main campaign then you’ll love the twelve new Double Jump levels I’ve put together. They’re faster, trickier, and even feature some of the elements that players loved from the Coin Dash game mode including gems and magnets. Take a look at the gameplay video above to see exactly what I mean.
And that’s not all. I’ve added checkpoints throughout the original campaign levels to help those who are still working their way through them. The checkpoints are a great way to learn the second half of a level before trying to make it all the way through in one go.
There’s also two new characters for you to play as, who I’ll talk about in a future post.
And finally, as I mentioned in a previous post, I’ve also been working on an update to the Apple Watch version. Again, I’ll talk a bit more about that in a future post, but if you’ve been enjoying the watch version then you’ll be pleased to know that I’ve brought over some more elements from the iPhone version including aircraft wreckage, deadly vultures, and coin pinching turtles. Oh, and if you’re still on WatchOS 3 then you’ll finally be able to play Dare on it – previously it was only compatible with WatchOS 4 devices.
So there you go. A new update that includes a brand new game mode and lots of other goodies. If you haven’t tried it already then please download Dare the Monkey from the App Store and let me know what you think. Thanks, and speak to you guys later!
